Every day we report daily market snapshots on our Instagram stories to track day to day movement of the Halifax Real Estate Market. With our daily statistics, we have noticed that the market has slowed down this past month, which is expected for the late summer. The gap between the average list and sold prices has been narrowing, or even inverting in some cases. We have also noticed fewer multiple offer situations.
With that being said, when we observe the month as a whole, we can see that we are still very much in a seller’s market. Sales are up, prices are still increasing and the number of days on market is still decreasing in comparison to 2020. With the fall months coming, and summer vacations ending, the market should pick up the pace again.
