The Sackville area of Halifax is considered one of the largest suburbs of the municipality. Many of the Sackville residents tend to work in the city and travel to and from their suburban communities for work. Most of the Downtown workers who reside in Sackville stick to Lower Sackville, as it is the closest of these areas to Downtown Halifax.

There are great schools, some shopping and a large sporting facility nearby to accommodate Sackville residents. There is also easy access to some of the main Nova Scotia highways. This area is great for growing families who wish to own large homes and large yards. It is also great for those who would like a quieter and more family-oriented neighbourhood in comparison to Downtown Halifax.
